Why I Ride Charity Events
I began riding charity events to help the less fortunate while doing something that I love which is riding a bike. Since then it has become a "personal" fight as my wife Sally & both of my parents have all battled cancer multiple times each. This disease has also touched the lives of countless other family members & friends.
In 1997 I joined the LIVESTRONG Foundation & participated in the inaugural Ride For The Roses as a member of the original Peleton Project in Austin, TX in 1998.
I am also a member of the LIVESTRONG Foundation's LIVESTRONG Army and recently participated in the Philadelphia LIVESTRONG Challenge in August of 2012. Thanks to all those who contributed to LIVESTRONG on my behalf. Please be sure to visit the LIVESTRONG web site. See the link below. Please feel free to browse through my photos and take a look at some very powerful videos including, "What Would You Say To Cancer?"
